2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Christ Empowered Official are those who march with purpose and are encouraged with the truth that God’s power is made perfect in their weakness! They celebrate knowing His grace is sufficient for them while they walk in endless possibilities.

Admitting and boasting about your weakness is a perfect way to see God’s power in and through your life. The great people that were used by God in the bible were once weak people God choose to display His power through.

There’s a particular person in the bible that I really like named Gideon, who admitted that his clan was the weakest where he was from and that he was the least in his family according to Judges 6:15. He will eventually see God’s power take over Him. One translation in Judges 6:34 said it like this …Then the Spirit of the LORD took possession of Gideon. When we boast gladly about our weaknesses and believe God can do greater things in and through our lives, we see His Spirit take possession of us and great things are accomplished to the glory of God. The strength of our faith is directly related to our willingness to apply it in places we don’t fully understand yet.

Paul understood this too well after Jesus powerful reply to his plea to have his thorn removed. He boasted all the more gladly in His weaknesses and Christ’s power rested on Him which accomplished the many things He did in His ministry.

Today be humble and don’t think of yourself as superman. See yourself as a Christ Empowered Official that has been refined through the fire by God to do greater works.

I once heard it said God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness – not in spite of our weakness but because of it to reveal His glory. God wants people to be able to look at our lives and get a glimpse of who He is. A pastor I love would say it like this our greatest weakness may actually be God’s greatest platform to display His power and glory in our lives.

Always remember God’s grace is at work in your life and that you are a Christ Empowered Official.
